A word from our fundraiser

Hello guys!

My name is Lauryn and I am helping David and Hilary raise money for their climb in 2011. I have lots of fundraising activities planned for the up and coming months.

After having spent a significant amount of time looking into the climb for David and Hilary, I have also decided to take part and hope to make lots of lovely money for Sparks.

In terms of fundraising, I thought a simple and effective way to raise a few extra pennies for the trek was to implement some fun and exciting office rules, each incurring a fine of course! Needless to say, the team have embraced this idea and taken part each week in a different challenge.

So far we have had a wear red day, a no listening to music week (this proved too hard for some!) and a through the key hole challenge.

‎Through the key hole in particular was a great success. Each member of the team had to bring in a photograph of his or her home, the photo had to say something about them as a person and the other team members had to correctly identify ‘who lives in a house like this?!’
This week’s prizes were a trophy and a chocolate smarities cake.

Sadly Steve and I did atrocious scoring just 2 out or 7, whilst Cat managed 3 out of 7, Dave and Nicole got 5 out of 7 and joint winners Dan and Tom managed a full house, splitting the cake in half and each adding a trophy to their collection.

The collection tin is filling up and the team are eating cake…I think everyone is a winner don’t you?!

I will keep you updated with our fundraising antics both in and out of the office.
